My father, Frank, who was a member of Louis Prima’s Big Band, and one of the founding members of his own band, The Goofers, instilled in me – a love of travel. I remember flying on TWA when I was knee- high to a grasshopper – and being allowed into the cockpit to receive my “wings”, a gold pin which I still own. I even took flying lessons in Ohio when I was in my 20’s, but stopped when it became too cost prohibitive. Something to return to in my future.
Ever since I moved out of my parent’s home at the age of 18, I’ve been fearless in my travels – often preferring to travel solo. This started a passion that has not waned, and is even getting stronger as time moves forward.
Most of my travels revolve around music or history. I remember each trip very well and although many restaurants have changed owners, most of the music and history related travel sites, have remained.
